Food + Meals

Camp meal-time is a time when ALL of Camp comes together to chat, laugh, swap jokes, share stories, and eat yummy food! Since this IS summer camp after all, there are days when breakfast, lunch or dinner has it's very own get-to-know me games, silly costumes, a unique dinner theme, or even a table party!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are shared together on long, family style tables inside the Camp Lodge

meals Prepared with Love

Camp food is focused on healthy, wholesome and tasty! It is important that Campers and Staff are well fed to stay healthy, maintain energy levels and keep hydrated! Camp is fun, busy, and temperatures can get hot!

Campers are given an assigned table for the week, where they sit with counselors and campers from other cabins.

Selecting fresh foods and whole-food based ingredients is an important part of our meal planning and preparation process. Some weeks we are lucky enough to receive produce from friendly neighboring farms. Our Kitchen Staff does an amazing job of considering tasty and healthy foods that Campers love!

Water is served at every meal and pitchers are filled and re-filled. Staff are encouraged to make sure all campers are drinking lots of water at mealtime.

Fresh fruit, fresh salad greens and veggies are always served as sides to the main meal. Each summer we offer some of our "Camp Classic" meals that have been around for many years, but we also enjoy switching things up a bit!

special diets, food intolerance + allergies

If your child has specific food needs please contact us prior to Camp.

Campers with food allergies and highly specialized diets (ie: gluten free, celiac, vegan) must bring food for mealtime to supplement during their week. Please make sure mealtime food items are packed separately from your Campers clothing/gear and can be given to the Staff members at the Check-In Table on Sunday.

We have happily accommodated a variety of allergies, sensitivities and food intolerance requests in the past: gluten-free, wheat allergies, celiac, gluten-sensitive, nut and sesame allergies, dairy allergies, lactose intolerance, egg allergies and more. Many of our Staff members have special diets, allergies and intolerance.

Camp is not a nut free or gluten free facility. We do offer nut free, gluten free and vegetarian options at each meal, however we cannot guarantee that the food and surfaces are free of nuts, gluten, dairy or meat.

food plans and strategies

Fresh veggies, fruit, salad greens and other options are available at mealtime and additional items and items brought from home can be brought out as needed which can make special diets possible.

"Special Diets, Food Intolerance and Allergies" is a routine topic at each Staff Meeting, every week. All Staff members on the mountain are made aware of all the Campers with any special food needs and allergies as well as paying close attention to the specific needs of the Campers within their own Cabins.

Our Kitchen, each Cabin, and our Country Store will always have a list with each Campers name, age and special diet/allergy listed. It is critical to have visual reminder available quickly for specific food needs and allergies for the safety of our Campers.
